Monse Hood, originally from Ecuador, has been a Revere resident for 18 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Central University in Quito and a Masters degree in Education from Gordon College. Currently she works as ESL and Outreach teacher for the Malden Public School district.
Throughout her career she has worked as a TV news reporter in her home country and for J.W. Thompson where she managed advertisement campaigns for governmental and international accounts. She was also the Associate Producer for the I am your Child bilingual videos for the White House. While working in the Revere Public School system she implemented the ALPS-Footsteps to Brilliance program that worked directly with the Latino community. Currently she dedicates time to work with different organizations to empower Latinas with education and leadership.
