Mark Ferrante, Chair
Mark Ferrante, a lifelong resident of Revere and is the Sr. IT Manager of Endpoint Solutions at BJ’s Wholesale Club Corporate Offices. He has extensive experience in the day to day operations for desktop support, desktop engineering, voice, data services, and mobile device management. Mark is a 1976 graduate of Revere High and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Suffolk University. He is a current Trustee and former Interim Director for the Revere Public Library. He is a past president of the St. Anthony’s Holy Name Society and takes an active role in volunteering his time for city events. Mark is married to Charlotte, who is the Assistant Auditor for the City of Revere. They have one child, Michael, who is a student at Stonehill College.
Dr. Gennaro Cataldo, Treasurer
Dr. Cataldo has been a lifelong resident of Revere and had maintained a dental practice in the City for over 30 years. He is married to the former Rosemary Cerbone of Revere. They have four children: Gennaro, Leah, Rosette and John. In addition he has nine grandchildren. Dr. Cataldo is a Graduate of Tufts University, having received both his Bachelor of Science degree (1963) and a D.M.D. degree (1967, cum laude) and has a Master of Science Degree in Biostatistics from Harvard University (1972).
Dr. Cataldo holds the position of Professor of General Dentistry at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He is Course Director of Esthetic Restorative Dentistry and Director of Video Services. He has been involved with the academic community since 1967 and lectures nationally at many major dental meetings throughout the Country on Lumineers.
Dr. Cataldo is a member of several civic and professional organizations including the Saint Anthony’s Holy Name Society, the Revere Chamber of Commerce, Revere High School Scholarship Committee, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Association and others. He has been elected as a Fellow in the American Academy of Dentistry and the International College of Dentistry and has served as Trustee to the Massachusetts Dental Society, the 4500 member organization representing dentistry in Massachusetts.
Kerri Abrams, Secretary
Kerri Abrams is originally from the Beachmont neighborhood of Revere and has maintained a floral and event planning business, Kinship Floral, within the city for 5 years. Kerri is a Graduate of Suffolk University, having received her Bachelor of Science degree (2003) in Criminology and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School (2007). Kerri maintained a law practice specializing in criminal matters and real estate conveyancing until pursuing a career in event design full time.
Kerri is a past President of the Revere Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) and Kerri’s work has been published multiple times by “The Knot” magazine. Kerri currently resides in Arlington, MA with her daughter, Paige and their handsome Puppies, Mordecai and Watson.
Paul Amato is a lifelong resident of Revere. In 1982 he graduated from Revere High School and then partnered with his friend to buy and operate Repro Video Productions. For the past 19 years he has been producing and creating video productions, commercials and weddings. Some of Paul’s clients include WRKO, MGH, Massachusetts Nursing Association and many others in the Boston area. As part of running his business, Paul understands the importance of keeping up to date on technology and equipment to produce video.
In his spare time Paul enjoys playing guitar, working on his car and barbecuing on the weekends.
Bob Marra is a lifelong resident of Revere and a 1973 graduate of Revere High School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Boston University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School. He is an attorney for MetLife Property and Casualty Insurance Company.
He currently serves as the Municipal Hearings Officer for the City of Revere and was City Solicitor from 2000-2004. He has also served the City as a member of the Revere License Commission (2008-2012) the Zoning Board of Appeals (2005-2008) and Revere Housing Authority Board of Commissioners from 1990 to 2000, chairman from 1996-2000. As president of the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra since 1990, he has organized the Orchestra’s annual “Sounds of Christmas Concert” at St. Anthony’s Church in memory of his late father, Robert Sr.
In his spare time he enjoys photography, classical music, bicycling, and taking his wife Janine’s yoga classes. Bob and Janine also keep busy with their dogs Milo and Erin.
John Cammarata was born in the Northend and moved to Revere as a youg man where he has been active in the community ever since. In his free time he enjoys listening to Elvis and a good Richies Slush.
Miles graduated Franklin & Marshall College in the spring of 2008 with a double major in history and government. After college he completed a yearlong term of service with AmeriCorps working with Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Recently, Miles served as the chief of staff to the mayor of the City of Revere, after working on local, state, and federal campaigns in Massachusetts. Currently he is the Communications Manager at Cambridge Health Alliance, a safety net health-care organization serving more than 150,000 patients in Boston’s Metro North communities. He recently completed a certificate program in local government management through Suffolk University, and the Massachusetts Municipal Association, and is interested in continuing to find ways to improve the lives of the communities in and around Boston.
Maria Serraino is a lifelong resident of Revere and graduate of Revere High School in 2010. She then moved to study Public Relations at Suffolk University receiving her Bachelor’s degree in 2014. At that time Maria decided to continue her education at Suffolk University in the Master of Arts, Public Relations and Advertising program and has since completed her degree in December 2015.
Currently, Maria works at the City of Revere Recreation Department assisting with social media, event planning and day-to-day operations. Her past experiences include Suffolk University’s Center for Community Engagement Department as a Public Relations Assistant and a TA for Suffolk University 101 (transition from high school to college).
Monse Hood, originally from Ecuador, has been a Revere resident for 18 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Central University in Quito and a Masters degree in Education from Gordon College. Currently she works as ESL and Outreach teacher for the Malden Public School district.
Throughout her career she has worked as a TV news reporter in her home country and for J.W. Thompson where she managed advertisement campaigns for governmental and international accounts. She was also the Associate Producer for the I am your Child bilingual videos for the White House. While working in the Revere Public School system she implemented the ALPS-Footsteps to Brilliance program that worked directly with the Latino community. Currently she dedicates time to work with different organizations to empower Latinas with education and leadership.
